Krsta Simović

Head Chef

From his early childhood Krsta has been showing a speacial fondness for culinary arts which he has developed through high gastronomy education, but especially through 10 years of experience gained in Belgrade well-known restaurants.

Constant development of his skills in all culinary sections made him realize that he finds the greatest inspiration in street food scene because it allows him to combine flavors of various worldwide cuisines.

In 2022, with Nenad and Nikola, he founded “Thyme” – a place that testifies to his true talent and dedication in the preparation of each individual dish. Considering that he strives for continuous improvement on the professional level.

Allow us to introduce our talented chef, Nikola, who brings a touch of culinary brilliance to our team. With experience from renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in Norway and some of the finest restaurants in Serbia, he has established himself as a true leader and the head of development at our restaurant.

With an innate ability to transform ordinary ingredients into extraordinary gastronomic creations, Nikola’s expertise extends beyond traditional restaurant settings. His passion for cooking is unwavering, and his international background and exposure to diverse culinary traditions have ignited a deep appreciation for fusion and street cuisine.

What truly sets him apart is his approachable nature, coupled with his determination in the kitchen. Drawing from years of experience, he instills confidence in others, nurturing their culinary talents and helping them reach new heights. Nikola’s dedication to education and the development of emerging talent is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the culinary arts.

Nenad Atanasković

Dynamic and innovative Chef Nenad, whose culinary journey has taken him from the prestigious halls of culinary school Le Cordon Bleu in London to the bustling kitchens of Dubai and Great Britain, before returning to Serbia to leave his mark on the local culinary scene. Armed with an exceptional education from one of the world’s finest culinary schools, Chef Nenad honed his skills under the guidance of esteemed teachers, soaking up knowledge and refining his culinary techniques.

Despite his impressive credentials, he remains refreshingly humble, approaching his craft with a down-to-earth attitude that belies his extraordinary talent. With a genuine passion for his craft, he embraces each culinary endeavor with boundless enthusiasm, infusing his dishes with a harmonious fusion of flavors that captivate the senses.

Chef Nenad’s wealth of experience and expertise as a head chef in various establishments bring a unique blend of familiarity and unexpectedness to his dishes, paying homage to global influences while remaining rooted in local culinary traditions. As a pinnacle of his career, alongside Thyme, he highlights being selected as a judge for the prestigious global culinary show “MASTERCHEF.”

It was delicious! The guy brought me coffee from the coffee shop next door because they weren't serving coffee. I've never experienced such great service anywhere, it's a very nice place.

An extraordinary authentic Indian cuisine experience. We ordered mutton kosha, tandoori chicken, tandoori gambore and butter chicken. Along with fresh garlic naan bread with sauces. Admittedly, the garlic taste was not very noticeable.

Butter chicken was slightly too sweet for our taste, but that's just asking for little things. Everything was generally delicious.

In the end, we tried all three desserts on the menu. Refreshing and delicious.

The service was at the highest level. The friendly staff tried to get us as soon as possible.

Perfect as always. Thyme concept proved that they can do anything they imagine! Thanks to kindness and dedication they opened new type of restaurant and it is perfect again.
We were eating butter chicken, tandoori chicken and biryani prawns, and one can't decide what is better.
But the most beautiful moment was when I wanted to order a coffee, and they don't serve it, so they brought me one cappuccino from neighbors ❤️
Also not to forget great dessert and a lot of options for vegetarians. This is next big thing in Belgrade, and i wish them all the luck! I will be regular guest for sure

Overall a pleasant dinner, but with some mixed impressions. The butter chicken had a nice, creamy sauce with good texture, however the chicken itself seemed grilled and then mixed into the sauce, and the flavor wasn’t quite the authentic butter chicken taste I expected. The rice was well cooked, though for my personal taste it had a bit too much cumin. The naan was fresh and warm, but the coriander flavor was stronger than the garlic, and I couldn’t really taste garlic. On the positive side, the kachumber and chickpeas salad was very fresh and nicely spiced, and the portions were generous and satisfying. Service was really good, staff were polite, attentive, and welcoming. The place itself is quite small, and since it’s an open kitchen, the food smell inside is quite strong. Overall, a good experience with some room for improvement.
Absolutely delicious – a rare gem for Indian cuisine in Belgrade! Every dish we tried was incredible. Huge compliments to the chef and the friendly, attentive staff. We’ll definitely be regulars!

Food tastes amazing. Its adapted to the Serbian taste and is less spicy, which is something I preffer. Everything tasted really original compared to other food in Belgrade and I cant wait to come back

Had dinner at Thyme in Belgrade, and it was an absolute delight! The food was bursting with flavour, beautifully presented, and truly satisfying. The ambience was elegant yet cozy, and the service was warm and attentive. A wonderful dining experience 😍
